Zac Funk notched his eight hat-trick of the season to extend his goal total for the season to 56, and become the Cougars’ single-season goals leader in team history.

Quinn Hancock scored 54 in the 1997-98 season.

Riley Heidt scored one of his own and added three assists to become the first player across the Canadian Hockey League to eclipse 100 points (101) this season.

With the win, the Cougars (40-15-0-3) clinched their second BC Division title in franchise history.

The Cougars have a two-point lead on the Portland Winterhawks (39-14-2-1) in the Western Conference race, but Portland has two games in hand.

Prince George Spruce Kings  4  Vernon Vipers  2

The Spruce Kings snapped a six-game losing skid with the win.

JR Perdion and Linden Makow each scored twice in the second period to lead the Spruce Kings to victory.

Ryan Sanborn got the start in net for the Spruce Kings, making 21 saves.
