Chromebooks can now be borrowed from library

Laptops can now be checked out alongside your books at the Prince George Public Library.

8 Chromebooks will be available to borrow at the downtown Bob Harkins branch, 2 can be rented from the Hart location.

“Those without access to online devices are often left behind in our increasingly online world,” Chris Field, Manager of Collections and Technology with the Prince George Public Library, said in a news release. “Making Chromebooks freely available to borrow levels the playing field so that all members of our community can meet their education, recreation, and information needs.”

The Chromebooks can be borrowed for a week at a time, which the library says allows users “ample time to complete assignments, write or update their resume, submit official documents, or attend an online meeting or interview.”

You can find more information on the Chromebooks here.
