A late goal was the dagger as the Prince George Spruce Kings fell 3-2 to the Merritt Centennials.
The two teams were tied at two in the dying minutes, but Luke Pfoh scored with a minute to go, sending the 768 fans at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena home happy.
Kai Greaves and Kilian McGregor-Bennett scored for the Spruce Kings in the loss.
Charlie Zolin got the start in net for the Spruce Kings, making 28 saves on 31 shots.
The Spruce Kings outshot Merritt 34-31.
