Seed library program returning in Prince George

The Prince George Public Library, David Douglas Botanical Garden Society, and the Prince George Master Gardeners are bringing back the seed library program.

Starting today (Saturday), people can go to either library branch in town to borrow a wide range of seed packages with the commitment to grow the plant and return new seeds from it in the fall.

Borrowers are limited to five packages of seeds, no duplicates.

There are also two workshops on starting your seeds off that the library is holding, one is today at 2:00 at the downtown location, and the other is on March 23rd from 2-3:30 at the Hart branch.

According to the library, more than 1,050 seed packages were borrowed last year.
