Prince George Mayor Simon Yu has put his corporate expense credit card away to start the year.
For the first two months of the year, Yu claimed no expenses.
“My activities have not really changed from last year to this year,” Yu told Prince George City Council at Monday’s meeting.
“I just want to make a point that I will do as much activity as I can afford to use my own expenses, in terms of meals and events.”
Yu said he felt in a time of tough times, he should have been more sensitive.
“I will do my best to keep the expenses as low as possible,” he continued.
Mayor Yu promised to report on his monthly expenses earlier this year.
