Lucky Lotto 6/49 ticket results in $230,000 win for PG couple

A Prince George couple is $230,000 richer after their latest windfall.

Annabelle and Arden Ross’s ticket matched five out of the six numbers from the March 9th Lotto 6/49 draw.

They purchased the ticket from Walmart on Southridge Avenue and were at home when they discovered the exciting news of their win.

“I checked bclc.com and thought we won the next prize down, and then Annabelle double-checked and told me that we won the bigger prize,” recalled Arden.

“It’s nice to not have to worry about finances. We will plan carefully and take a few vacations,” added Annabelle.

Arden chose the couple’s numbers for this draw, which consisted of meaningful dates relating to Annabelle, including her birthday.

It’s been a good month and change for lottery players in Prince George and the Cariboo.

A ticket purchased in Prince George for the February 16th Daily Grand draw netted one player $500,000.

In the span of one month, there were two big Lotto Max wins in Williams Lake.

The first also came on February 16th, when Williams Lake Ice Cream Shop owner John Bennetts’ ticket won him $274,000.

This past weekend, a ticket purchased in Williams Lake for Friday’s draw won $500,000.
