BC Highway Patrol seizes firearms after vehicle chase in Prince George

The BC Highway Patrol seized a pair of firearms including a loaded handgun following a flight from police on Highway 16 near the Cluculz Lake area.

According to police, the incident occurred just before 5 pm on Monday (March 18th) when the Integrated Road Safety Unit attempted to stop a Dodge Ram with an unknown Alberta license plate.

The vehicle failed to stop and later fled the area at a high rate of speed.

The truck was later reported by witnesses to be driving erratically around Prince George. The occupants later ran into some bushes at the end of Domano Boulevard, south of Malaspina Drive.

Police say the suspects and vehicle are still outstanding and anyone with information is asked to contact the BC Highway Patrol.
