Seven different players lit the lamp for Prince George in the win.
The Cougars took a 6-0 lead into the third period, but allowed four goals in the chaotic final frame.
The Cougars played undisciplined in the third, racking up ten PIMs in the period, as well as a ten-minute misconduct for Zac Funk.
Game three will be played Tuesday in Spokane.

Merritt Centennials 4 Prince George Spruce Kings 1
Carter Hesselgrave scored the lone goal for the Spruce Kings.
The Spruce Kings finished at the bottom of the BCHL’s Interior Division standings, and will face the Penticton Vees in the first round of the BCHL playoffs.
