PG company collects construction leadership award

You can add another provincial accolade PG’s Westcana Electric.

The company was one of four to be acknowledged with a 2024 Leadership Award during the 7th Annual BC Construction Month Honours.

The program recognizes excellence in the skilled trades with a priority placed on culture change and leadership.

“Construction Month allows us to shine a bright light on the impact our industry has on the lives of British Columbians,” said Chris Atchison, President of the BC Construction Association (BCCA).

“92% of construction owners are small businesses who employ fewer than 20 employees. Day after day, they deliver the important housing, institutional, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects our province needs. They work hard, and they get the job done. We welcome this opportunity to give them the recognition and respect they deserve.”

In 2019 and 2021, Westcana Electric collected two Builders Code Champion Awards.

Four years ago (2020), the company took home a ‘culture change’ honour within BC’s construction industry.
