Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a fire just off of University Way, near 15th Avenue this afternoon.
According to PG Fire Rescue, crews from three halls were called to the area at 2:41 pm.
The fire was located in a small encampment between the road and the university.
The blaze reportedly burnt one of the encampment structures and a patch of field approximately 150 square metres in size.
Crews were able to contain the fire from spreading using shovels and rakes.
Fire Rescue remained on scene for three hours ensuring the fire was completely out.
No injuries were reported.
