Josh Ravensbergen posted his second shutout in as many nights with 16 saves to the delight of the hometown crowd of 5,858.

The Cougars extended their playoff win streak to six games and their overall win streak to 15 games.

Prince George leads the best-of-seven second round series 2-0 with Games 3 and 4 in Kelowna Tuesday and Wednesday.

Women’s World Hockey Championship:

Gold Medal Game—(in Utica, New York)

It is the 13th world title for the Canadian women.

 

Golf:

Scottie Scheffler has his second green jacket.

Scheffler won the 88th Masters with a score of 11-under-277, four shots better than runner-up Ludvig Aberg.

Top Canadian Corey Conners tied for 38th at 7-over.

Tiger Woods was last among those that made the cut at 16-over.

Special Olympics basketball:

The Special Olympics Prince George Basketball team won three of four games at a regional tournament in Kamloops.

Their only loss was in the final against the Kelowna B team.

The team is hoping to have the chance to represent P.G. in next year’s Special Olympics BC Summer Games, which will be held in Prince George.

This was the last game of the season for the (25-57) Raptors, who finished 12th in the 16-team Eastern Conference.
