Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery ticket deadline fast approaching

Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery ticket sales are coming down to the wire with the deadline approaching tomorrow night (Wednesday) at 10:00.

This year, the home is located 2974 Links Drive in the Aberdeen Glen Subdivision.

“It’s an $890,000 value on our grand prize that we’ll be giving away this Friday,” said Spruce Kings Business Operations Manager Kyle Anderson.

“It’s built by Hopson Construction, all of the furnishings are by Design Logic Interiors, with the appliances coming from Andres.”

As of this morning, 1,389 tickets remained for the lottery.

Anderson said the funds from the lottery help pay for the Spruce Kings season.

“The Spruce Kings are community owned, there’s no owner to help us out when we have additional expenses,” he explained.

“Being from the North we have the most travel in the entire league and the most nights in hotels, so all of these show home tickets that are sold, it goes through for that travel, we’re talking bus, fuel, meals, hotels, and then all of the players equipment as well.”

While scheduling for next season isn’t confirmed yet, the Spruce Kings will most likely have to make a trip through Alberta, as the BCHL added five teams from that province to their league that will be fully integrated next season.

“It all might balance out depending on how the scheduling works, but there’s definitely going to be a little more distance adding those teams from Alberta,” Anderson added.

“It’ll be a little bit of a different way when we form our budget when we’re looking at that moving forward, but again, the ticket sales are going to help that.”

Tickets can be purchased online at the Spruce Kings Show Home website, by calling 1-855-962-4946, at Canadian tire between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, or at the Show Home between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm.

In addition to tickets for the show home lottery, tickets are also available for Mega 50/50 jackpot #2, which is growing rapidly.

The jackpot can grow up to $400,000, and as of this morning, is sitting at $239,650.
