After a strong start to 2024, building permit numbers took a step back in Prince George in March.
According to a report going before Prince George City Council on Monday, a total of 32 building permits were issued worth a combined total of $6.3 million.

While the combined value of the permits dropped drastically from March 2023, the same number of permits were issued.
In March 2024, housing led the way as permits were issued for six new duplexes, five new multi-family dwellings, and two new single-family dwellings.
As of the end of March, 104 permits have been issued, worth a combined total of $41.8 million.
