Missing PG man identified as victim of Bowron River human remains case

The North District Major Crimes unit says the case of found human remains near the Bowron River, west of Purden Lake is now being investigated as a homicide.

The victim has been identified as Edward Michael Milne, whose body was first discovered on Sunday (April 14th).

He was reported missing on March 29th by the Prince George RCMP. Police renewed calls for the 62-year-old man’s whereabouts on April 11th.

North District Major Crime Unit has conduct of the Investigation.

Police would like anyone who traveled Highway 16 past the Bowron Rest Area between March 27-29, 2024 to call police with any information about vehicles parked in that area.

In addition, anyone with dash cam footage between Prince George and Bowron River rest area for the above dates is asked to call police at 250-561-3300.
