CN Centre will welcome fans to watch remaining Cougars road games

The Prince George Cougars are in the WHL’s Western Conference Final for the first time since 2007.

Tickets to the Cougars’ first two home games of the third round sold out in about two hours – how many will sell when the team is 13 hours south in Portland?

The CN Centre will open its doors to fans who want to watch the remainder of the Cougars’ road games this season, starting with game 3 on Monday (April 29) and game 4 on Wednesday (May 1).

Spectators will still be charged to get in the door, but only $4.00 each with the money “supporting Prince George community initiatives.”

The arena doors will open 30 minutes before the start of each road game.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office or at ticketsnorth.ca as of 2:00 this afternoon (April 25).

$250,000 damage following fire on Pacific Street

Prince George Fire Rescue crews responded to a commercial structure fire in the 1000 block of Pacific Street yesterday morning (Sunday) at approximately 5:40.

Williams Lake RCMP investigating fatal crash

Just after 5pm on Saturday (July 12th), North District Corporal Madonna Saunderson said the Williams Lake RCMP received a report of the incident on Highway 97 at Mountain House Road. Saunderson added a Chev pickup and a Toyota Camry had collided and initial investigation indicates that the Toyota pulled out onto the highway in front of the pickup.

Highway 16 crash between PG and Vanderhoof becomes fatal; two others injured

Highway 16 was closed for roughly four hours before re-opening to traffic. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it comes available.
