Northern BC Crime Stoppers will be holding their Drive Thru Spring Community Shred It event on Saturday.
“It’s that time of year that people are doing spring cleanup and we encourage people to come on Saturday and shred their personal documents safely and securely,” said Northern BC Crime Stoppers Vice-President Ron Polillo.
The service is available for a suggested donation of $10 per bag or box, with the money raised going towards running the Crime Stoppers program.
“We run 24/7, 365 days a year, and just like other organizations and non-profits, we need money to run the program successfully,” Polillo said.
“This goes specifically to run the program, and Crime Stoppers does pay rewards for arrests through our tips program, so money will also go for rewards for Crime Stoppers as well.”
In addition to donations, Mr. Mike’s will have burgers for $5 donations as well.
The event will take place in the PGSS parking lot from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
