Cyber security incidents involving government networks under investigation: Eby

Premier David Eby says there have been what he calls “sophisticated cyber security incidents” involving government networks.

Details of the hacking haven’t been released, but Eby says the province is working with the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security and other agencies to determine how widespread, and how successful, the attacks have been.

Eby says more work must be done before they can identify what may have been accessed.

But he adds there is no current indication that any sensitive information has been compromised.
