Community Safety Town Hall extending hours to give people more time for open house

The City of Prince George is expanding the Community Safety Town Hall scheduled for later this month.

The event will now start at 2:00 pm on May 28th, to give people more time for the open house portion.

In addition to the open house portion, the event will include panel presentations, including the City Manager, Fire Chief, and Superintendent of the RCMP.

The City noted some details are being confirmed and the panel may change.

There will also be a question and answer segment to close the event.

Following the town hall, there will be a council workshop to review the feedback and a public report to Council on findings and actionable items.

The goal of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for community members, business owners and other interested parties to share concerns, ask questions, and share ideas with key City staff and members of Council to address encampments and complex social issues throughout Prince George.

Prince George City Council voted to host the meeting during their regular meeting on April 22nd.
