A Prince George boy is back home recovering after being struck by a vehicle near the Hart Highlands Winter Club.
The youth, named Jaxon, was released from BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver last week but still has a long road ahead of him.
According to GoFundMe Organizer, Amanda Keller, Jaxon has remained stable and symptom-free avoiding hospital re-admission.
While he continues to experience nightmares and mild confusion upon walking, his wounds are healing well with no signs of infection.
Jaxon’s physical limitations have left him bedbound for the time being – not having the ability to walk or attend school.
He has a pair of video appointments slated for the next month and will also require an in-person check-up at the Children’s Hospital at six weeks.
In addition, Jaxon is slated for six follow-up visits with hospital staff in Vancouver to monitor his progress.
The Prince George RCMP ruled out criminality during its investigation after the incident occurred on the 36-hundred block of Winslow Drive, adding the driver fully cooperated with the Mounties.
Jaxon’s Go Fund Me Page has raised over $25,000.
