103 car crashes in northern BC every May long weekend

For many, this weekend will be the first road trip of the year.

ICBC is asking drivers to do everything they can to keep themselves and others safe while on the road.

On average, ICBC says there are 3 people killed and 445 injured in May long weekend car crashes.

14 of those injuries occur in 103 crashes in the north.

Drivers are being asked to give themselves extra time to travel, anticipate traffic and road work, and to avoid distractions and drinking while driving.
