Many BC Hydro customers in the Prince George area will be without power overnight on Saturday.
According to BC Hydro’s outage list, the company will be conducting a pole replacement, affecting 9,743 customers.
“There’s just some jobs we can’t do with the system energized,” said BC Hydro Spokesperson, Dave Mosure.
“This is going to take all the power out feeding into our Chief Lake Substation, and there’s three feeder lines that come out of that sub, which go into the areas of Chief Lake, Foothills and Beaverly.”
Mosure noted BC Hydro will take care of other tasks that can be done at the same time.
“We’re trying to minimize customer inconvenience.”
Power is expected to be out from 8:00 pm on May 25th to 6:00 am on May 26th.
