Minnesota-born goaltender signs with PG Spruce Kings

The Prince George Spruce Kings continued its overhaul in the crease for next season by adding Carter Wishart.

Wishart is a 6’1, 172-pound goaltender from Chaska, Minnesota, who spent the last two seasons with the Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League.

In 58 NAHL games, the American had a 2.90 GAA and a .905 Save %.

“We’re thrilled that we were able to add Carter to our group. He’s an elite level goalie and a tremendous young man who will be leaned on heavily
to provide stability on and off the ice.”

Wishart is committed to Colgate University to play NCAA Division I hockey following his stint in the BCHL.

In January, the Spruce Kings also signed Cariboo Cougars star netminder Ryder Green. He finished with a 16-3-2 with a 2.74 GAA during the BC Elite Hockey League regular season.

Green also got a taste of playoff hockey at the junior level suiting up in Games 3 and 4 of the Spruce Kings first-round matchup against the Penticton Vees. PG fell in four straight but Green complied an impressive .930 save percentage in his two appearances.
