The Conservative Party of BC continues its rapid growth.
Today (Wednesday) Party Leader John Rustad announced that Chris Moore, a former BC United Candidate will now join the provincial Tories and will run for the Powell River-Sunshine Coast riding.
“Chris has an outstanding record of service to this community and will be a strong advocate for the people of Powell River-Sunshine Coast,” stated Conservative leader John Rustad.
“Chris has talked with hundreds of constituents and understands that there are serious concerns in this riding that need to be addressed with clear and definitive actions, and the Conservatives will do just that with Chris as the MLA in this riding.”
Rustad and the Conservatives continue to pick apart the former Liberals as they poached Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Lorne Doerkson as well as high-profile South Surrey representative Elenore Sturko.
She is electing to run in the Surrey-Cloverdale riding for the Conservatives in the fall election.
In total, the Conservatives have convinced three BC United MLA’s to join – the first was Bruce Banman who is the MLA for Abbotsford South. Currently, the Tories have four MLA’s in the Legislature.
