One person has died following a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 97 near McLeod Lake.
According to the Mackenzie RCMP, it happened just after noon yesterday (Monday), when a southbound pickup truck left the roadway, impacting the gravel shoulder and overturned.
Police say the driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Causal factors are not yet known and the investigation remains ongoing.
BC Emergency Health Services issued the following statement to MyPGNow.com:
“BC Emergency Health Services received a call at 12:20 p.m. on July 1 about a motor vehicle incident in the 56000-block of Highway 97 (Hart Highway). Two ambulances with primary care paramedics and an air ambulance with critical care paramedics responded to the scene. Paramedics provided emergency medical care and transported one patient by air ambulance to hospital, and two patients by ground ambulance to hospital,” said Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.
