BC Road Builders & Heavy Construction Association holding stops in PG

A custom 34-foot trailer featuring hands-on simulators of heavy equipment, will be in Prince George later this week as part of the BC Road Builders & Heavy Construction Association talent acquisition tour of the province.

The trailer, called The Road Show, will be making a trio of stops in the city including the Prince George Native Friendship Centre (Thursday), Prince George Nechako Aboriginal Employment Training Association (Friday) as well as Downtown Summerfest on Saturday.

Cause of Nechako Bottle Depot fire remains unknown, investigation to commence this week

Prince George Fire Rescue Chief Fire Bryan Burleigh says an insurance adjuster has been assigned in the fire that destroyed the Nechako Bottle Depot Sunday, and an investigation will commence this week. Fire crews were called to the depot just before 5:00 Sunday morning, and spent much of the day battling the blaze before calling it extinguished in the evening.
