Evacuation alerts near Pitka Creek wildfire rescinded

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has rescinded the evacuation alert surrounding the Pitka Creek wildfire.

The alert was originally issued on Sunday.

According to the BC Wildfire Service, the Pitka Creek wildfire, approximately 18 kilometres southwest of Fort St. James, is now being held at 147 hectares.

SuperWalk helps bring awareness to Parkinson’s in Prince George

The annual Parkinson's SuperWalk in Prince George saw an "overwhelming response" from the community this year. SuperWalk Coordinator Gina Beddome said they normally get between 75 and 100 people out for the walk, but they were hoping for at least 200. 

Kodiaks shredded by Okanagan air attack

It was a Saturday night to forget at Masich Place Stadium for the Prince George Kodiaks, as they fell 60-6 to the undefeated Okanagan Sun. "It was execution, we weren't our finest for sure," said Kodiaks Head Coach Jamie Boreham.
