BC Football Conference

The Prince George Kodiaks play their first road game of the season this afternoon against the Westshore Rebels.

Both teams enter the game with a 1-0 record.

Westshore won their first game of the season, 43-27 over the Kamloops Broncos.

The Kodiaks won 39-34 over the Vancouver Island Raiders.

CFL

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Toronto Argonauts play at 4:00 this afternoon.

The BC Lions are off this week.

MLB

The Toronto Blue Jays host the Texas Rangers at noon today after beating them 6-5 yesterday.

That came directly on the heels of being waxed 13-0 by Tampa Bay on Thursday.

The Jays remain firmly in last in the AL East with a 47-56 record.

Olympics

The games are underway following last night’s opening ceremonies.

China has an extremely early lead in the medal count with two of the first three golds awarded.
