70% of Prince George renters spend less than 30% of their income on housing costs.
That’s according to a survey from Point2Homes, who revealed the best cities for renters in 2024.
Among Canada’s 100 largest cities, PG ranked 21st overall. The report indicates the average rent in the northern capital is $1,159.
PG also tallied the third-highest ranking in all of BC trailing only Victoria (11th) and Vancouver (19th).
Our city also ranked 20th and 30th in the quality of life and community rankings.
In terms of BC’s least stressed residents, Prince George, Nanaimo, Chilliwack and Kamloops all came in with a rating of 19.5%.
