Kodiaks feel the burn in big loss to Sun

It’s a different week but the same story for the Prince George Kodiaks.

Their defensive woes were on display once again as the Kodiaks fell 70-0 to the Okanagan Sun at the Apple Bowl in Kelowna.

The Kodiaks struggled to make tackles once again, something the Sun exploited with a strong running attack.

The Sun found the end zone five times on the ground in the first half, including a 91-yard scamper from Elelyon Noa.

Noa had 199 rushing yards in the first half.

Kodiaks struggled on offence as well, many of their drives went two-and-out or stalled after one or two good plays.

With the loss the Kodiaks drop to 1-4 on the season, and sit sixth in the BC Football Conference.

The Sun are the last undefeated team in the BCFC at 5-0.

The full BCFC standings can be found here.

The Kodiaks will be back at Masich Place Stadium Saturday for a matchup against the 0-4 Kamloops Broncos.

The full Kodiaks schedule can be found here.

Elsewhere in the BC Football Conference, the Westshore Rebels (3-1) picked up a 42-24 win over the Valley Huskers (2-2), while the Langley Rams (3-1) picked up a 38-6 win over the Broncos.
