Timberwolves sign PG Youth Soccer product for upcoming season

One of Prince George’s top youth soccer talents is bringing his skills to the Timberwolves.

D.P. Todd graduate Kaiden Young has committed to the team for the 2024 season and beyond.

Young was named D.P. Todd’s athlete of the year and the PG Youth Soccer Association’s player of the year in 2023.

“This has always been a dream of mine. I grew up watching the Timberwolves and training with some of them,” he said. “Fran [Bartollilo) has coached me. I’ve grown up watching local legends and playing against them in men’s league. This has always been a dream.”

“Kaiden has shown really well during our preseason,” added the head coach Steve Simonson. “He has made the jump physically very quickly and has demonstrated his attacking threat. He is one of several local players that we are excited to see represent Prince George at the U SPORTS level.”

Young has enrolled in General Studies at UNBC this fall.

The 2024 season begins on Friday when the Timberwolves play the Fraser Valley Cascades in Abbotsford.
