Cougars Rigby handed three-game suspension

A member of the Prince George Cougars coaching staff has been disciplined by the Western Hockey League.

The league announced today (Friday) that Assistant Coach Carter Rigby has been suspended three games for violating the WHL Standards of Conduct, specifically pertaining to the use of insensitive language.

It will take effect Friday, September 20th as the Cougars welcome the Spokane Chiefs to CN Centre. He will be eligible to return on Sunday, September 29th when Prince George travels to Wenatchee to play the Wild.

There will be no further comment at this time.
