PG RCMP hosting anniversary block party

The Prince George RCMP are inviting the public to a mid-September block party to celebrate 10 years in the 5th Avenue detachment.

“We want this to be a family-friendly celebration that will also help to showcase some of the units that work inside the Detachment,” said Inspector Darin Rappel, acting Detachment Commander for the Prince George RCMP.

“Policing has changed in the ten years since the Detachment first opened and this is a great opportunity for our community members to come and meet some police officers and explore what their units do.”

Booths will be set up where people can learn more about Traffic Services, General Investigative, the Special Victims Unit, Victim Services Unit, Community Policing, STRIVE and other law enforcement teams.

There will also be a collection of food trucks and photo opportunities.

The block party will be held on September 14th from 10:00 to 2:00.
