Even with a full week of practice the Prince George Spruce Kings still couldn’t find the back of the net.
The Spruce Kings fell 5-0 against the Langley Rivermen tonight (Sat).
Langley took a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes thanks to a Justin Szeto goal at 11:25.
The Rivermen doubled it’s lead in the 2nd on the power play courtesy of Dominic Franco.
Prince George gave up a trio of goals in the third period including power play markers to Cameron Ginnetti and Zac Masson.
Justin Fregona salted it away extending the lead to five after 60 minutes.
Langley went 3 for 11 on the power play while Prince George was 0 for 7.
Sam Tanguay stopped 18 of 23 shots in his first game as a Spruce King.
Surrey entertains Prince George tomorrow (Sunday) at 4pm who will try and avoid an 0-4 start to the season.
