City Council to vote on budget consultation sessions

The City of Prince George is gearing up for next year’s budget.

On Monday, Prince George City Council will vote on holding an in-person public consultation session to form part of the 2025 Budget Community Engagement.

Sessions were held last year as well.

According to a staff report, this event will be more robust than previous events, and may include posters with dot matrix voting, opportunities to provide feedback based on where you live, speed networking with city council members, and individual scheduled presentations with Q&A for each services area.

They estimate the more involved event will likely span around four to five hours, held in the late-afternoon and evening at the Civic Centre.

The report doesn’t have a date set, but the recommendation calls for the session to take place this fall.

Other item’s on Monday’s agenda includes an update on the Ferguson Lake Road washout, and requests for concurrence from Telus on proposed wireless communications facilities.

The agenda for Monday’s meeting can be found here.
