A Smithers man has been arrested according to the North District RCMP Major Crime Unit in relation to a homicide one year ago.
According to BC Staff Sergeant Kris Clark, Sylvester Gordon Joseph was arrested in Kelowna today (Friday) and has been charged with Second-Degree Murder.
“The North District RCMP Major Crime Unit along with members of the Smithers RCMP worked diligently in gathering all evidence and obtaining charge approval in this matter,” he added.
On September 8th, 2023, Smithers Police received a report that a man was shot in a vehicle outside a home.
The victim was later found at the Bulkley Valley District Hospital and died from his injuries.
