Province to accept more applications for more childcare providers to join $10 a day program

The BC Government is further expanding $10 a day childcare throughout the province.

Starting on October 1st, applications will be accepted from childcare providers to join the $10 a day ChildCareBC program, which the province says will create more low-cost childcare options for families throughout BC.

“We will be delivering even more $10-a-day space to BC families because we know what a difference these spaces make,” said Minister of Education and Child Care Rachna Singh.

“By making child care more affordable, families are able to pursue more opportunities, which will benefit everyone. I want to thank the child care providers who are partnering with us to deliver these life-changing savings to families.”

According to the province, the program helps families on average save approximately $920 a month per child with $10 a day spaces.

Applications will be open from October 1st to 31st.
