MLB:

Toronto Blue Jays  6  New York Mets  2  

The (69-77) Blue Jays, with just 16 games left in their season, continue a 6-game homestand this afternoon (Wednesday 12:07) against the (79-66) Mets.

San Diego Padres  7  Seattle Mariners  3

The (73-72) Mariners continue a 9-game homestand tonight (Wednesday 6:40) against the (82-64) Padres.

Seattle is in second place in the AL West, 4.5 games behind the (77-67) Houston Astros.

BC Football Conference:

The (1-6) Prince George Kodiaks have just three games left in their third season in the BCFC.

The Kodiaks, who have lost their last six, host the (7-0) Okanagan Sun Saturday night at 6:00 at Masich Place Stadium.

Prince George will conclude its schedule season with a home and home against the (1-5) Kamloops Broncos: Saturday, September 28th at 6pm at Masich Place Stadium and Saturday, October 5th at 6pm in Kamloops.

NFL: 

Week 2 of the NFL season begins Thursday night (5:15) with (1-0) Buffalo at (1-0) Miami.

CFL:

The (7-6) BC Lions host the (6-6) Toronto Argonauts Friday night at 7:00 to begin Week 15 of the CFL season.

The Lions are tied with the (7-6) Winnipeg Blue Bombers for top spot in the West Division.

WHL:

The Prince George Cougars play their final two preseason games against the Blazers; Friday (7PM) in Kamloops and Saturday (5PM) in Quesnel.

The Cougars lost their first two exhibition games; 6-3 and 6-2 to the Edmonton Oil Kings in Edson, Alberta.

P.G. will open its regular season on September 20th against Spokane at CN Centre.

BCHL:

The Prince George Spruce Kings host the Langley Rivermen Friday night at 7:00 and Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in their final two preseason games.

The Spruce Kings split their first two exhibition games on the road; a 3-2 OT victory over Coquitlam was followed by a 5-2 loss to Surrey.

They will start their regular season on September 20th at Surrey.

Canada West Soccer:

The UNBC Timberwolves will be home this weekend in Canada West men’s and women’s action at Masich Place Stadium.

The (0-2) UNBC women host the (1-2) Thompson Rivers Wolfpack Friday night at 5:00 and the (2-1) UBC Okanagan Heat Sunday at noon.

The (0-4-2) UNBC men entertain the (2-1-2) Calgary Dinos Friday night at 7:30 and the (0-3-1) MacEwan Griffens Sunday afternoon at 2:30.
