B-C’s doctors say whichever party forms the government after next month’s election must take more steps to attract medical professionals to our province.
The B-C College of Family Physicians and B-C Family Doctors say the next government should offer doctors the same basic employment and health benefits as other health care workers….things like health and dental covering, vacation time, and a pension plan.
Many family physicians don’t qualify for such coverage, since they’re considered to be self-employed.
The two groups say benefits like this would attract more doctors into family medicine.
