Human skeletal remains have been found in the Valemount area.
North District Corporal Dave Tyreman confirms an area resident made the discovery last week and says a detailed search revealed the following.
Tyreman says investigators haven’t discovered the sex of the remains.
He adds Mounties are aware of historic missing person files in the area but will not speculate on the possible identity until a more detailed analysis has been completed.
