Coroner’s Inquest begins today in relation to 2019 death of woman in PG

The 2019 death of a woman in Prince George is subject to a Coroner’s Inquest.

On July 20th of that year, Lindsey Taylor Izony death was reported to the agency and it followed events involving the Prince George RCMP. She was 35 years old.

The inquest begins today (Monday) at the PG Law Court.

Under the Coroner’s Act, inquests are mandatory for any deaths that occur while a person is detained by or in the custody of a peace officer.

Larry Marzinzik, the presiding coroner and a jury will hear evidence from witnesses to determine the facts surrounding the person’s death.
