Prince George Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store to host new location grand opening

The Prince George Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store is on the move.

The new location, at 1655 Nicholson, will be a larger and brighter space selling general items including clothes, and household goods.

Past President, Lindy Steele says any profits that are made will continue to go to the hospital.

“Right now we’re donating $150,000 towards cataract surgery equipment so they can do cataract surgeries in the north.” says Steele.

“We’re doing them, but there’s like 900 people on a wait list so, the more things like that we can do, the better.”

Steele says they rely on donations, which can be done at the front or back door.

Donations they don’t accept include textbooks, food, and furniture, but are working on accepting small furniture.

She added they encourage everyone to attend the grand opening this Saturday, October 26th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
