PG City councillors to get up close and personal with the public at Budget Town Hall

The City of Prince George is making final preparations for its Budget Town Hall meeting set for Wednesday at the PG Conference and Civic Centre.

It will run from 3:30 – 8:00pm.

The session includes an Open House portion along with a presentation and Question and Answer period that will also be livestreamed on YouTube.

The open house section will provide an opportunity for some one-on-one time with councillors, to learn more about city services and the budget process, to play some trivia games and to take the budget surveys.

Additional staff will be on site to take any specific service requests for neighbourhood maintenance issues.

The results of the community input via the surveys and townhall session will be collated into a community engagement report that will be presented to the Council Finance & Audit committee on December 4th.

It is the final few weeks of the Budget Survey, with the deadline to participate on November 8.

There are currently two budget meetings scheduled on January 20th and 22nd where council will deliberate on the final budget.
