Wrestling and a Delta Dawn documentary featured in PG this weekend

A documentary on Prince George wrestling alumnus and BC Sports Hall of Famer, Delta Dawn will have a showing at the Prince George Civic Centre.

The film, drawing huge acclaim on the Film Festival Circuit, is being hosted by Primetime Wrestling tying into their blockbuster wrestling weekend.

Organizer, Davy Greenlees said in a news release “Dawn is truly a pioneer of Women’s wrestling in Canada, and her career has paved the way for a generation of wrestlers to follow.”

Primetime Wrestling will have a double header this weekend at the Civic Centre tonight (Friday) and tomorrow night, featuring The Mauler, The Barlow Creek Butcher, “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada and more.

Admission is by donation for the documentary screening taking place Saturday, at 1:00 pm, with proceeds supporting Dawn’s travels to attend the New York Film Festival.

Proceeds from the November wrestling events will support the Prince George Crisis Prevention & Intervention Centre.
