Civic Light Up to kick off holiday festivities in Prince George

The Annual Civic Light Up will kick off several holiday festivities in downtown Prince George.

The City of Prince George says this year’s Civic Light Up promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The light-up will happen at 7:10 pm on Wednesday at Canada Games Plaza, with a fireworks show to follow at 7:15.

There will also be live entertainment, crafts, street hockey, and holiday treats.

Additionally, there will be skating in the plaza, as Tourism PG has completed the new ice rink and trailer market.

A schedule and list of events at the Civic Light Up can be found here.

The Civic Light Up coincides with the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation’s Festival of Trees.

This year’s Festival of Trees will fund a StarGuide, providing quicker imaging and making the experience more comfortable for patients.

The Festival of Trees will wrap up with a Santa Claus Parade on Sunday, starting at noon.

A full schedule of events for the Festival of Trees can be found here.
