Updated: Maintenance issue prompts class cancellations in CNC’s main building

Update: 3:05 pm, Monday, November 25th:

Evening classes in the main building of the Prince George Campus have been cancelled as well.

Original Story:

The College of New Caledonia has cancelled classes in its main building this afternoon (Monday), after a maintenance issue led to smoke in the building.

Classes taking place in the Canfor Tech, Brink and Finning buildings will continue.

As of 2:22 this afternoon, students and staff are able to enter the building to retrieve personal items, after which they are advices to go home.

The College says they do not yet have the status of evening classes, and updates may come as they become available.

Classes are expected to resume as scheduled tomorrow. (Tuesday)
