Bobbleheads, Teddy Bears highlight final PG Cougar home games of 2024

It will be an action-packed weekend for the Prince George Cougars and their fans to close out 2024.

Tomorrow (Friday), the Cougars welcome the Regina Pats to CN Centre at 7pm and then will lock horns with the Kamloops Blazers Saturday night at 6 o’clock in the annual Teddy Bear Toss game.

Now, fans who have tickets to both games will also get a Josh Ravensbergen bobblehead – unfortunately they will likely have to wait a bit until they get it in their possession as the shipment is currently tied up at the Port of Vancouver according to Director of Business Taylor Dakers.

“The bobbleheads were supposed to be here but they are currently sitting in Vancouver on the boat that we brought over from China. Go bobbleheads. They are in Canada, they are here, we know they are here but they are just not in Prince George quite yet.”

Once they arrive, everyone on the list will get one – the WHL club is also accepting pre-orders for a select amount that will be sold at the team store.

“I know people are thinking about Christmas and stuff like that so it is our goal to get them in the hands of everybody before that point,” added Dakers.

Dakers added tickets are limited for Saturday’s game against the Blazers – he is expecting a crowd of over 4,000 against Regina.

“It is under a couple hundred tickets for Saturday night and as it goes, there are a lot of groups that are interested in tickets for the Teddy Bear Toss. And then on Friday, it should also be solid but not sold out – but it should be in that 4,000 range.” said Dakers.

The last time the Pats were in town there was a much bigger buzz surrounding the game as Connor Bedard rolled through the CN Centre, scoring twice in a 5-1 Regina victory.

During Regina’s BC Division road trip, every game was sold out – the CN Centre was able to shoe horn 6,027 fans at that time it was unofficially the largest crowd to see a Cougars home game.
