Update: Power restored after equipment failure in Prince George

Update (2:41pm):

Power has been restored in the area west of Upland Street, East of University Way, North of Ellington Avenue, and South of Fraser Crescent.

BC Hydro determined the outage to have been caused by equipment failure.

Update (1:45 pm):

BC Hydro estimates time will be restored at 2:10 pm.

Original Story (1:35 pm):

BC Hydro is reporting a power outage affecting 530 customers.

The outage is currently affecting the area west of Upland Street, East of University Way, North of Ellington Avenue, and South of Fraser Crescent.

They said the outage has been off since 12:42pm, with an estimation on when power will be restored.

Crews are on site, with the outage under investigation.
