7-Eleven buys Five Mr.G’s locations in PG

Soon Prince George residents will be seeing more 7-eleven’s on street corners.

The convenience store chain has bought 5 Mr.G’s locations in the city and plans to convert them into 7-Elevens in the near future.

“7-Eleven will operate the stores as they are for a period of time, in order to understand the local preferences and needs and to be sensitive to the local Mr.G’s legacy and customer following” said Laurie Smith with 7-Eleven Canada.

Smith also addressed concerns about Mr.G’s employees’ job security.

“All employees have been retained and will continue to manage and work in the stores. We look forward to serving Prince George in this expanded capacity” said Smith.

The only Mr.G’s not bought by 7-Eleven is the college heights location which will remain as-is for the time being.
