Weekend Weather: Taking the good with the bad

Prince George will be dealing with some give and take conditions over the long weekend.

We’re expecting wind and showers, but temperatures that warmer than usual.

“Even though it’s cloudy and windy, we have a high of 17 for Friday, and again tomorrow with a high of 15, we’re about 6 degrees above average,” says Environment Canada’s Doug Lundquist, “The coolest day on Sunday will be back to average.”

It’s looking like light jackets and umbrellas for Saturday, so when is the best day to walk off all the turkey?

“The nicest looking day over the weekend is Sunday, once this whole system passes and it dries out a little bit more, it will be cooler, but we’ll have more sun on Sunday with highs around 12 degrees.”

Though it’s a far cry from the flash fooding and heavy winds facing BC’s coast, Prince George will likely be back to showers on Monday.
