McNeil sends the hats flying as Spruce Kings tame Bulldogs

Hats off to Brogan McNeil.

The Spruce Kings forward led the way with a hat-trick as the Prince George Spruce Kings picked up a 7-4 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

 The Spruce Kings held a 4-2 lead heading into the third period, with McNeil scoring twice in the first 40 minutes, and Brady Anes and Isaac Hold adding singles.

McNeil finished off his hat trick nearly half way into the final frame with a short handed marker.

The Bulldogs made it interesting, scoring twice to cut the lead to 5-4.

Will Moore added an insurance marker, and Nicolas Papineau solidified the win with an empty netter.

The Spruce Kings (12-17-3-1) are ninth in the BCHL’s Coastal Conference.

The Spruce Kings are back in action on January 22nd, hosting the Surrey Eagles at Kopar Memorial Arena.
